Another day off...and assorted links

Well thank you Mother Nature for the six day weekend. Time to watch some Daytona 500 Practice.

Here are some interesting links:

Seriously, can someone step up and challenge this legislative lightweight?

I don't know him but apparently John Alex Golden is running for the Virginia Young Democrats' presidency. Good luck with that Mr. Golden. Does anyone know what other competition is out there? What about the other office spots?

Tom Davis reportedly is not supporting a troop escalation in Iraq. Way to show your backbone now...four years too late. Maybe all Davis needs to be convinced to support the additional troops is a bumper sticker. Here are Davis' addresses in which you can send him one.

Tim Hardaway Apparently Not a Fan of Gays

Former NBA star Tim Hardaway makes it known that he "hates gays".

"You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known," Hardaway said. "I don't like gay people and I don't like to be around gay people. I am homophobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States."

...

"And second of all, if he was on my team, I would, you know, really distance myself from him because, uh, I don't think that's right. And you know I don't think he should be in the locker room while we're in the locker room. I wouldn't even be a part of that," he said.

This is in response to former NBA player John Amechi revelation that he's gay. At least we know where he stands. This will probably lead to Hardaway not being hired for a coaching position that he was seeking next year.
