Putting to rest any notion that Republicans are taking Nebraska lightly, Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-NC) emphatically stated they are focused and ready to rumble.

"The Nebraska Senate race is extremely important to the national Republican Party, and we are going to win this seat," the North Carolina senator said.

What does the Republican bench look like? Only former AG Don Stenberg has declared his intentions to run for the Senate seat. David Kramer, Kerry Winterer, and Kermit Brashear are also other possible candidates for the Republicans.
